Program Director - Conley Day Treatment Program

EBAC's Conley Day Treatment Program provides comprehensive mental health and special education services to middle school children/youth whose emotional difficulties seriously interfere with school functioning. The Program Director is a full time position with benefits.

TITLE: Program Director – Conley Day Treatment

ACCOUNTABILITY: Director of Clinical Services

A. FUNCTION
The Program Director is responsible for the development, direction and monitoring of the psychotherapeutic/educational treatment program. Provides leadership and direction to staff, and administers services and compliance aspects of the program.

B. QUALIFICATIONS

  1. LCSW or LMFT with the appropriate Master’s degree (licensed preferred).
  2. Five years of experience in child/family clinical practice with diverse population.
  3. Two years experience working with and/or supervising multidisciplinary teams in a school/milieu setting.
  4. Excellent administrative, clinical and supervisory skills (CAMFT supervisor certificate desired.)
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills; organizational and multi tasking skills.
  6. Ability to drive and transport clients including proof of a valid driver's license, auto insurance ($100k/$300k liability coverage), and access to use of an automobile as needed.

C. RESPONSIBILITIES (Those with an asterisk are essential duties.)

  1. *Coordinate the development and implementation of education, mental health and casework modalities of the program. Coordinate the treatment planning process through direct supervision of staff.
  2. .*Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of mental health staff and assist school district in the recruitment, hiring and evaluation of educational staff.
  3. Coordinate the intake and evaluation of children referred for services.
  4. Collaborate with teachers and school district staff to create specific educational programs for students.
  5. Provide crisis intervention with children in the milieu.
  6. *Facilitate clinical team meetings daily (before and after school) to promote positive team dynamics and effective teamwork.
  7. *Provide weekly individual and group clinical supervision and other consultation to Mental Health Clinicians as needed.
  8. *Provide individual and/or group clinical supervision and consultation and training to each contingent of the multi-disciplinary team.
  9. *Maintain close contact/liaison with the school district and the Alameda County Behavioral Healthcare Services.
  10. .*Insure compliance with Federal, State and local laws and regulations and with terms of contracts with funding sources.
  11. *Develop and maintain program budget and monthly forecast.
  12. Work closely with community partners regarding placement, referrals, and other ancillary services.
  13. Attend and actively participate in large management and other inter-agency meetings.
  14. Utilize Operations Manual and oversee inclusion of periodic policy/procedure updates.
  15. Monitor employee work schedules and approve employee timesheets for forwarding to Payroll within the required time frame.
  16. Other duties as assigned.

D. WORKING CONDITIONS and JOB SETTING

  1. Work is primarily in a classroom or office and an enclosed outdoor play yard setting
    with children. Work is directly with SED children who can at times become aggressive. Therefore, full mobility is required for standing walking, sitting, using hands, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  2. Staff must be able to physically restrain a child with or without the assistance of a second adult.
  3. Must complete certification in non-violent crisis intervention as provided by Crisis Prevention Institute, Inc.
  4. Noise levels may be high at times.
  5. Periodic lifting up to 50 pounds is required.
  6. Periodic driving is required.
